The world of information was the end of the industrial revolution, where the traditional industry of industrialization was prominent. The Information Renaissance, to me, is the shift to a world led by information technology, also known as the Information Age. This new revolution began with the creation of the world wide web, making it possible for commercialized businesses and eventually average people to access a wide array of information without needing to leave their office or home.
The Information Age is responsible for a knowledge-based society, with new forms of entertainment, media, research, and communication. The influence of technology is seen just about anywhere, from manufacturing to government operations. Transactions are made easier, allowing consumers to explore their options and purchase their items with the tap of their finger. In this new age, where technology is commonly accepted in both daily life and social organization, the modernization of information and communication sciences has become a driving force in our economies.
